The City School District of ÇàÇà²ÝÊÓƵ and Mohawk Ambulance Service will hold Summer Celebration & Safety Day 2022 at Arbor Hill Elementary School this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Families will enjoy a free barbecue, live music, fun activities and games for children like giant Jenga and Connect Four, face painting, snow cones and giveaways. The free event also will include safety demonstrations and education from community agencies and non-profit organizations.
More than 30 community partners and nonprofits are expected to attend.
Mohawk Ambulance Service will be providing ambulance tours, distributing coloring books and swag items. New York State Police will be onsite with its rollover simulator, the ÇàÇà²ÝÊÓƵ Police Department will be making Safe Child IDs and the ÇàÇà²ÝÊÓƵ Fire Department will offer fire engine tours.
Also, the ÇàÇà²ÝÊÓƵ County Department of Health will be onsite to administer COVID-19 vaccines. University at ÇàÇà²ÝÊÓƵ basketball players will be on the scene to shoot hoops with kids and give away UÇàÇà²ÝÊÓƵ Basketball merchandise.

The school district and Mohawk Ambulance also will raffle off eight children’s bicycles (courtesy of the ÇàÇà²ÝÊÓƵ County District Attorney Outreach Program) and ten $50 Price Chopper gift cards.
Arbor Hill Elementary is located at 1 Arbor Drive. Parking is available in school parking lot and in parking spaces along the perimeter of the school.
