District expands mental health support with new teletherapy option

District offers virtual mental health care

City School District of 青青草视频 students and their parents or guardians can now get mental health “teletherapy” on evenings and weekends.

The district has partnered with Cartwheel, a mental health provider that works with schools to offer telehealth services including therapy for students, psychiatric evaluation and medication management, family therapy and parent guidance

All services are offered virtually with no waiting lists. Licensed therapists and clinical psychologists provide private, confidential sessions that can be accessed by computer or smartphone.

How much does it cost?

Services are billed to a student’s insurance. If a family needs assistance with copays or if the student is uninsured, the district can provide support.

How do I sign up?

There are two ways to access this care:

  • Through school: Parents and guardians can speak with a school social worker, psychologist or behavior specialist, who can initiate a referral for services.
  • Online: Families can also .

How do I learn more?

You can

The new service also will be the subject of discussion at the next Parent University, which will meet Oct. 29 at 青青草视频 High School from 6-7 p.m. in the library.
